Meals in NY

Nueva York tiene una variedad tan infinita y cambiante de locales y restaurantes, que cuando comentas a alguien que vas a pasar unos días, enseguida salen voces recomendándote sitios para comer. Consejos que siempre son de agradecer, aunque a veces es difícil encajarlos en tu planning de visitas.

New York has so many and changeable restaurants, that whenever you say you are going there to spend some days, you receive nice advices about establishments to go. Useful and thankful, as long as you can fit them in your agenda.

Así que este post es como si alguien me lo hubiera preguntado a mi. Estos son los sitios a los que fui este mes de agosto, recomendados por neoyorquinos que viven y trabajan en la big apple. De menos a más formal:

So this post is like someone asked me. These are the places I went last august, suggested by new yorkers that live and work in the big apple. From less to more formal:

Shake shack, famosísimo por sus hamburguesas, fast food, con colas en la calle, y diversos locales en la ciudad. Aunque a mi me recomendaron ir al de Madison Square Park, enfrente del Flatiron, que tiene una terraza muy agradable, fui al que está en Columbus Avenue, al salir del American Museum of Natural History.

Shake shack, world famous for its burguers, fast food, lines in the street, and differents stores in the city. Although I was recommended to go to the one in Madison Square Park, in front of Flatiron, with a beautiful terrace, but I finally went to the one on Columbus Avenue, after visiting the American Museum of Natural History.

Watermark Bar, junto al muelle al sur de Wall Street, con vistas al río, donde tomé el mejor lobster roll, después de coger el ferry ida-vuelta a Staten Island.

La Esquina, mejicano en el Soho, buenos tacos, decoración sencilla y con una pequeña terraza, aunque yo cené dentro.

Oyster Bar Restaurant, como su nombre indica, especializado en ostras, pero yo preferí tomar el sándwich de caviar, buenísimo. Tiene también distintos ambientes dentro del mismo local. Curioso su emplazamiento, dentro de Central Station, pero buena ubicación, por ejemplo, para cenar si después debes coger el metro hacia un espectáculo en Broadway.

Oyster Bar Restaurant, as its names says, specialized in oysters, but I prefered ordering a caviar  sandwich, excellent. They have different ambients inside. Curious location, inside Central Station, but good and useful if you should take the train afterwards to go, for example, to a Broadway show. 

The Modern at the Moma, buen restaurante, con dos ambientes, uno más elegante, de mantel blanco, y otro más casual, con mesas y sillas modernas, aunque dentro de la formalidad. La comida, sus cocktails y el entorno, excelentes, además de ser un lugar muy cómodo para ir tras haber visitado el museo.

The Modern at the Moma, good restauramt, two ambients, one more elegant, white linens, and the other more causal, moderns tables and chairs. The food, cocktails and all the look, excellents, besides a very comfortable place to go after visiting the museum.

Wolfgang, un restaurante clásico de carne exquisita, que está también en distintos sitios de la ciudad. Me contaron que lo creó quien había sido cocinero del Peter Luger, otro gran restaurante de carne al que fui en anterior ocasión, en Brooklyn.

Wolfgang, an exiquite meat restaurant, with some establishments in the city. I was said it was founded by the former Peter Luger cooker, another excellent meat restaurant in Brooklyn that I knew in a previous trip. 

Debo decir que en todos ellos, buena relación calidad-precio.

I should say I find all of them in a perfect well relation quality-price.
