L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

Esta Semana Santa se ha celebrado la 100ª feria de arte y antigüedades en L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The 100 edition of L'Isle-sur-le-Sorgue art & antiques fair has taken place this Easter Week.

A quienes les gustan las antigüedades y piezas vintage, conocerán bien esta localidad de la Provenza francesa.

For those who love antiques and vintage style, they sure know this beautiful place in the french Provence.

 Es el sitio por excelencia para buscar piezas con encanto, entre tantas otras con menos, como pasa en todas las cosas.

Además de un buen número de tiendas y locales abiertos todo el año, tienen mercado semanal de antigüedades (los domingos), y la feria anual, que llena las calles sobre todo de pequeñas piezas, algunas antiguas y otras viejas.

It is the place to be if you like to look for charme pieces, among others less special, as it is usual.

As well as a good number of stores all year open, there is the weekly market (on sundays) and the anual fair, that fills the streets mostly with small decor pieces, some antiques, others just old.

La variedad de muebles, columnas, marcos, cuadros, capiteles, vasijas, menaje y todo tipo de piezas es increíble y los precios, siempre altos en este tipo de artículos, controlados. Se admite el regateo.

 

The variety of furniture, columns, frames, pots, tableware and all kind of pieces is amazing, and prices, usually high, a bit controled. Bargaining is allowed.

Aunque iba con intención de llevarme un buen recuerdo, al final salí con las manos vacías. Tal vez en la 101ª edición ...

Although I were there with the firm intention to buy something, finally I didn't. May be in the 101 edition ...

Un último apunte. Si además quieres redondear el día con un buen sitio para comer, más vale buscar de antemano. Sólo acerté con la merienda.

Last thing. If you like to finish up with a good meal, you'd better look for it in advanced. I was only right with the snack.
